Raintree's early days ...
Raintree was established in 1971.
| My first breed was Great Danes.
Pictured here is Ch. Gatsby of Tammerlane who finished
at the Great Dane Club of America's first National.
After successfully showing the danes for several years
I discovered a passion for the beautiful Saluki.

I acquired my first Saluki from Nadine Johnson of Rising Star fame.
Ch. Nanna Sin of Rising Star, pictured here, was a glamorous
red grizzle dripping in coat who became my first BIS dog.

In 1976 I fell in love again ...

This time with a beautiful red and white whippet puppy
bred by Benta Opsal, and the rest is history.
The whippets have taken over my life, and are now the
only breed I now have. They are a constant joy. My logo was inspired by our
foundation bitch, Alexis (Ch. Sporting Fields Alexis). For more on Alexis,

and occasionally have available, puppies bred for all venues. |
