We offer a wide range of Sunday School classes for all ages. Join us Sunday mornings at 9:30 and see how the Bible can affect your life.
GOAL: To show these young children that God loves us and takes care of us.
Using Scripture Press literature, the children study some of the simple Bible stories that teach them how God made us, loves us and takes care of us.
GOAL: To teach the children that Jesus is the reason why we believe that God takes care of us.
Using Scripture Press literature, the children study heros of The Bible, reinforcing the fact that God loves us, takes care of us and sent Jesus Christ to this earth to save us.
GOAL: To teach children familiar Bible stories that present lessons and how children apply those lessons in everyday life.
The children begin to learn the Children's catechisms. Using Scripture Press literature, the children are taught lessons that point them to the Savior, Jesus Christ, by familiarizing them with stories in the Bible.
GOAL: To see how the Bible stories the children learned in their younger years apply to their lives.
By studying God's Word, they see how they can live today guided by his will. Using short Bible stories and activities found in Great Commission Publications, "Discoverer" series these children gain a greater understanding of what God has in store for them and some of the things they should do to follow God's will for their lives.
GOAL: To learn about the documents that make up the bedrock of our faith.
By exposing these youth to documents such as The Westminster Confession of Faith and The Shorter Catechism, they gain a better understanding of what we as reformed Presbyterians believe in. Using a question/answer and discussion format, all aspects of what we believe are covered. This is intended to give them an overview and a sound basis for why they are members of God's church.
GOAL: To show how the Bible may be used as a life applications guide for young adults.
Why at an age when so many young adults are turning away from the Bible, it is more important then ever to turn to the Bible as a blue print for our lives. Currently, this group is studying the Book of Job.
GOAL: A concentrated study of scripture, trying to understand the thrust of each passage and to explain some of the difficult verses.
This class has begun working through the entire Bible again book by book and is currently studying The New Testament using literature from Jack Scott's Adult Biblical Education Series. Past studies have included Jesus' parables using Jack Scott's "Those Puzzling Parables" and a look at David, using "David, The Anointed" by Daniel Doriani. The class format is generally lecture with limited discussion.
